Privacy policy
This site is deliberately simple, and so is what it knows about you. There are no accounts to create, no login, no newsletter sign-up, no contact form storing what you typed, and no comment section. We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we have nothing to sell even if we wanted to.
Analytics
The site is built to run Google Analytics 4 so we can see, in aggregate, which pages help people and which ones they leave. Once it is switched on, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and records things like the pages you view, the approximate location your connection resolves to, your device and browser type, and how you arrived. It also records when someone clicks through to a tour listing, which is how we tell a useful page from a page that merely gets traffic. None of it identifies you by name, and none of it is combined with anything else.
Blocking it costs you nothing here. Turn off cookies in your browser, use a tracker-blocking extension, or browse privately, and every page on this site still works exactly the same way.
Affiliate links and their cookies
When you click a tour link here you leave this site and land on GetYourGuide or Viator. At that point the platform may set its own cookie so it can credit the referral to us if you book. That cookie belongs to the platform, is governed by the platform's own privacy policy rather than ours, and is the entire mechanism behind our affiliate disclosure. We never see your payment details, your booking, your name or your travel dates. The booking happens entirely on GetYourGuide or Viator, between you and the operator.
What we host ourselves
Pages here are static files served from a content delivery network, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for a limited period as a normal part of delivering and protecting a website. Two kinds of third-party content are embedded on some pages: a Google Maps frame showing where the islands sit, and YouTube videos loaded through the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie domain. Both are provided by Google and set their own cookies or local storage when you interact with them. If you never touch them, they collect correspondingly less.
Your choices
Clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Use a blocker if you prefer. Nothing on this site is gated behind accepting anything, and we have no way to identify a returning visitor beyond what the analytics cookie does in aggregate.
